Our Origin
Blitzkrieg Films was founded in 2023 by Aniket Warty and Mehar Sherim, two seasoned entrepreneurs with a track record of turning bold ideas into successful ventures.
The idea to start a film production company wasn't born out of long planning sessions or strategic pivots - it came from a simple question they asked each other after hearing a compelling story:
"Why not?"
That story was Anomie, a psychological thriller that intrigued them both. It was edgy, it was different, and it had something to say. The decision to back it wasn't about entering the film industry with grand ambitions right away—it was about experimenting with something creatively new. As Aniket said:
"We want to do better. Though, this is as good a beginning as any."
For Aniket and Mehar, Blitzkrieg Films started as an investment—some extra funds put into a project that piqued their interest. But true to their entrepreneurial spirit, they knew how to recognize potential and surround themselves with talent. With multiple business commitments demanding their time, they chose to remain hands-off during the actual production—trusting the process, and more importantly, trusting the people involved.
The Debut:
Anomie
Directed and written by Riyas Marath, Anomie marks his first feature film, and it's nothing short of a powerful debut. Riyas brings a unique perspective to storytelling—his scenes are layered with emotion, tension, and meaning.
At the heart of Anomie are the characters, brought to life by a stellar cast. Rahman, the lead actor, delivers a performance that's intense and completely believable. But it's Bhavna, in the titular lead role, who steals the show—arguably delivering the performance of her career.
Behind The Scenes
A production of this scale and complexity needs a steady hand behind the curtain—and that came in the form of Adith Prasannakumar, the co-producer.
Adith not only pulled together the right crew and managed the production efficiently, but also brought a level of professionalism and commitment that made the whole experience seamless. His ability to bring the creative vision to life has led to an ongoing partnership with Blitzkrieg Films.
